Shopping not Dropping! (We hope).

My dearest partner (and head shopper) has taken on board my dislike of shopping and suggested that from now on we will only visit Sainsbury’s once per week. I quickly agreed! This is typical of her thoughtfulness and loving ways.

This is a great compromise since it both reduces my stress level and still gives my lady (the head grocery shopper) a weekly “fix” of retail therapy.

This also means that we are reducing our chances of becoming infected with covid19 by 50%.

We have now downloaded the NHS track and trace App. So if we are near a person who later tests positive we will be informed and ask to self isolate. I have seen no information about how many people have downloaded the App so I don’t know how effective it’s going to be in stopping what appears to be a terrible rise in cases. But as Tesco say “every little helps.

The shop was moderately busy:

Looks like some people have been hoarding dried pasta:

But we bought a big pack of toilet rolls! So we can keep using the toilet for months!

At the end of our shopping trip my dear lady suggested that she would rather we reverted to shopping online until all the restrictions on distancing and masks are removed (probably not until we have a vaccine).  This was because she noticed by my body language that I was still a bit stressed by it all.  So typical of her to think of me.  But even for her I don’t think the experience is as enjoyable as it used to be.  So from Next Monday it will be back to home deliveries. I’ll let you know if that changes.
