We both love our garden here in England and spend a lot of time in it. I usually sit around whilst Elizabeth does all the work!
This is a view of the garden in May just after the lawn had been cut:
May was a very sunny month so we bought a parasol. I’m very sensitive to the sun and need the shade whilst I drink my daily beer (strictly rationed) and watch Elizabeth work.
Also in May we decided to keep occupied in lockdown by painting our garden “furniture”. First the shed:
Then a fence (plus other bits and pieces).
The good weather continued and it got very hot. Then in August we started having big thunderstorms. One storm almost drowned our mini:
Since then we have seen a mixture of sunshine, clouds and occasional showers as the temperatures slowly decrease with the approach of Autumn.
Today we will be doing “circuit training” in the garden for the last time as our quarantine period ends today.
The rest of our day will consist of relaxing and enjoying each other’s company.
Our regular Friday dinner is French bread with cheese. Brie for Elizabeth and Stilton (the King of cheeses) for me.
We are still bingeing on “Lewis” on tv after dinner.
More ramblings tomorrow.....
